Board Certified Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician
Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics is a medical subspecialty of Pediatrics. Developmental Pediatricians first complete four years of medical school, then three years of Residency training to become General Pediatricians, and then an additional 3 years of subspecialty training in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics.
Dr. Walker trained and taught at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, which ranks 2nd in the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018-19 Best Children’s Hospitals ranking, including training at the renowned Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Walker was trained utilizing a multidisciplinary approach at a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities program.
Dr. Walker truly enjoys being the family’s primary resource in diagnosing potential developmental issues, collaborating with general Pediatricians and specialists as needed, and advocating on behalf of his patients to coordinate the best possible care.
Autism Spectrum Disorder evaluations, including evaluation of toddlers with “failed” M-CHAT screen or showing “red flags” for Autism
Developmental Delay evaluations (speech, motor, social, thinking skills), Intellectual Disability evaluations, Global Developmental Delays
Evaluation for Speech/Language delays, Social Communication Disorder, Apraxia
Psychoeducational/Learning Disability (SLD) evaluations
Evaluation of common behavior concerns-preschool age
Sensory processing concerns, Social skills concerns
Dr. Walker can order appropriate medical and genetic tests when indicated. Dr. Walker can also order ABA therapy, Speech Therapy, OT and PT, and coordinate care with other Specialists/agencies.
Evaluations & Fees
Dr. Walker will perform a detailed medical/developmental history and physical exam, along with Developmental/Behavioral testing at the Initial visit.
A second visit may be required to perform additional testing (ADOS-2, IQ testing, Academic testing, etc…)., which will be performed by licensed professionals.
Dr. Walker will then compile a detailed written report and review the final diagnosis and treatment recommendations at the Follow-up visit.

Initial Developmental Physician Consult: $750.00 (up to 120 minutes) Includes Consult and Testing
Follow up Physician Visit, with written report: $450.00 (up to 60 minutes)
Follow-up visit: $395 (up to 45 min)

Dr. Walker strives to evaluate children quickly, usually within 4 weeks, so that the recommended intensive interventions can be started in a timely fashion.
We accept all Credit and Debit cards, Health Savings Account cards (HSA), and Apple/Android pay.
**Fees include review of records, Medical history and examination, Developmental Testing with scoring and interpretation,coordination of care with other medical specialists and labs/imaging as indicated, coordination with Speech Therapy and OT/PT if needed, ordering of ABA therapy when indicated, compiling a detailed report, and review of final Diagnosis and treatment options.
If requested, an itemized superbill and medical insurance claim form will be provided after each visit, which can be used to submit to your insurance company if you choose.
